Monitor the auction continuously
The auctions can last 3, 5, 7, 10, 14, 21 or 30 days. Buyers can bid
any time for any auction, except their own. When someone makes a bid that exceeds
your own bid you will receive a notification by e-mail. E-mail does not always
work perfectly. Besides, the highest bid can be made during the last minutes
of trading. Thus, to win the auction, you should monitor the progress continuously!
The Bid-Agent can be an alternative. Your maximum bid will remain invisible
to all auction participants until the auction closes and our Bid-Agent will
work hard to ensure that you win the auction, as long as the bids of other buyers
remain lower than yours. Should someone make a bid equal to yours, the buyer
who made such a bid earlier will be considered the winner of the auction.
Carefully read the item description
If any of the description details are unclear to you, find out all the necessary
information before making a bid. You will be able to contact the Seller with
your questions. Remember, when you make a bid, you agree to buy the item at
the specified price.
It is necessary to study thoroughly the reliability of your partner. Review
the feedback left by other users in the Rating section. The number in parenthesis
next to user login is the user rating. The feedback is left by the buyers and
sellers who have dealt with this seller. The feedbacks that you receive from
other users are available for viewing in My Account section.
Be polite to other users
Politeness paves a way to trust. The trust vested with you on the part of other
users allows you to trade faster and more successfully. Follow the ethics code
when communicating by e-mail, and your partners will treat you with respect.
Make only realistic bids
If you decide to take part in an auction, we recommend that you determine the
maximum price you are willing to pay for the item. Make only such bids, which
you can afford to pay.
Save the information about the auction
If you win the auction, you will receive an e-mail with the name of the seller,
her/his e-mail address and telephone number, along with the name, time, date,
and the closing price of the auction. We recommend that you keep this information
until the transaction is completed.
Contact the seller
After you win the auction contact the seller as soon as possible by e-mail and
by phone. Remember that it is hard to judge about the honesty and the reliability
of your counterparty solely from the e-mail communication.
